The Katsina State Government has successfully completed projects in 272 out of 361 wards across the state, as part of its commitment to ensuring equitable distribution of social amenities.

This announcement was made by the state’s Deputy Governor, Lawal Faruk Jobe, during a one-day event aimed at strengthening partnerships between the government and civil society organizations (CSOs).

The event, themed “Strengthening Partnerships for Progress,” was organized by the Katsina State Development Management Board. Jobe emphasized that the projects executed within a year were a fulfillment of the government’s electoral campaign promises.

He further assured that the government would complete projects in all 361 wards within the next year, covering various sectors of the economy.

The Deputy Governor pledged the government’s continued commitment to fairness and equity in the distribution of social amenities, ensuring that no section of the state is neglected.

He also reiterated the administration’s inclusive approach to governance, emphasizing the importance of stakeholder contributions for the successful implementation of policies and programs.

Jobe commended civil society organizations for their support and cooperation in all government activities.

Bilkisu Suleiman Ibrahim, the Executive Secretary of the Development Management Board, echoed this sentiment, stating that the event was organized to foster maximum collaboration with CSOs to ensure that social amenities reach the grassroots.

She highlighted the vital role of CSOs in monitoring projects executed by development partners and identifying any challenges.
Abdulrahman Dutstinma, Chairman of the CSOs in Katsina State, assured the government of the CSOs’ unwavering support in achieving its set goals.
