A member of the House of Representatives from Katsina State, Hon.Abdullahi Balarabe Dabi, has sponsored the training of 112 youth on computer literacy.

Dabai, representing Bakori/Danja Federal Constituency, also donated a set of computers and their accessories to the trained youth.

Speaking at the closing ceremony of the training, Dabai said the training was initiated to generate income for the beneficiaries through the setting of business.

A cross-section of beneficiaries

He said each beneficiary would be assisted in setting up an operational business centre. Dabai said his Constituency office will sustain training of youth in different skills to reduce the problem of unemployment.

He reminded the youth that the era of waiting for jobs from the government is gone, advising them to learn skills as a source of income and self-reliance.

He warned beneficiaries of the training not to sell items provided to them but to use them to set up business. Dabai also called on them to step down the training in their localities for more youth to benefit from it.
