A member of Federal House of representative, in Katsina state, Abdullahi Balarabe Dabai has disbursed cash assistance and irrigation water pumping machine to his constituents.
The lawmaker representing Bakori/Danja federal constituency, while speaking at the occasion said the assistance was aimed at promoting self-reliance, boosting livelihoods and strengthening grassrots economic activities.
Dabai explained that 180 people will be given cash assistance ranging from N200, 000, N150, 000 and N100, 000 based on assessed needs.
He said fifty people were selected and will received water pumping machines for irrigation activities.
“The assistance is part of our resolve to boost economic activities for self-reliant’ he added.
He called on beneficiaries to make to make good use of cash assistance and water pumping machine giving to them.
Dabai recalled that within the last three, he sponsored various training programs for the youth on computer literacy, adding that beneficiaries of the training were given kits to set up business.
He further said different empowerment program was introduced for women with disbursement of cash assistance, sewing and spaghetti machines and other items.
He pledge to sustain the training and empowerment programs to minimize unemployment problem in Bakori and Danja Local government areas.
Dabai commended Dikko Umar Radda for creating job opportunities to the youth through Katsina State Enterprise Development Agency, (KASEDA) and other various programs of the Government.
