The Kano State Government delegation, led by the State APC Chairman, Hon. Umar Haruna Doguwa, on Friday joined the Emir of Rano, His Royal Highness Ambassador Dr. Muhammad Isa Umaru, Autan Bawo, for the Eid-el-Adha prayers at the Rano Emirate Council.
The delegation attended the Eid prayer on behalf of the Executive Governor of Kano State in a demonstration of unity, harmony, and continued collaboration between the government and traditional institutions in the state.
Speaking after the prayers, the Kano State Commissioner for Information and Internal Affairs described the Eid celebration as a period that promotes peace, togetherness, and mutual understanding among citizens.
He stated that the administration of Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf remains committed to strengthening the bond between the people, the government, and traditional rulers to ensure sustainable peace and development across Kano State.
According to him, the peaceful atmosphere witnessed during the Eid festivities reflects the unity and brotherhood among the people of the state.
He also called on residents to continue supporting government initiatives aimed at improving the welfare of citizens.
The Commissioner revealed that the delegation also included the Honourable Commissioner for Public Procurement, Project Monitoring and Evaluation, Comrade Nura Ma’aji, alongside other government officials.
The government delegation was warmly received by the Emir of Rano, His Royal Highness Ambassador Dr. Muhammad Isa Umaru (Autan Bawo), who offered special prayers for peace, unity, stability, and continued progress in Kano State and Nigeria as a whole.
The Eid prayer session attracted religious leaders, traditional title holders, political stakeholders, and hundreds of Muslim faithful who gathered in an atmosphere of peace, harmony, and brotherhood to mark the sacred occasion.
