Kano State Government has sponsored 115 legal counsel to attend the Nigerian Bar Association (NBA) Annual conference.
The Attorney General and Commissioner for Justice, Barr. Haruna Isa Dederi, disclosed this while addressing pressmen at EKo Hotel Ikoyi Lagos.
Barr. Dederi stated that the administration of Governor Alhaji Abba Kabir Yusuf focuses on building a robust legal system to position the state as a leader in legal services, driving excellence and innovation in the sector.
The commissioner highlighted that the state government has graciously provided state counsel with robe and medical fitness allowances, conference and practising fees, to enhance their well-being and productivity.
The attorney general emphasised that the conference is a gathering designed to promote legal excellence, facilitate networking, and address pressing legal and social issues affecting Nigeria and Nigerians.
He charged the state legal counsels and other practising lawyers operating in the state to be good ambassadors and utilize the conference sessions to enrich their experience, expand their knowledge, and leverage networking opportunities for the benefit of the state’s justice sector.
Speaking earlier, the Chairman of the Law Officers Association of Nigeria, Kano State chapter, Abdullahi Aminu Shamsu expresses his heartfelt gratitude to the state government for generously sponsoring all their members to attend the conference in Lagos State, as contained in a statement issued by Aminu Bello Sani, the Public Relations Officer of the ministry.
