Kachalla Tukur Sharme, the mastermind behind the kidnapping of 121 students from Bethel Baptist High School in Kujama, has been eliminated.
Sharme’s death brings relief to Kaduna residents, as security forces intensify the hunt for fleeing gang members
In a statement issued by Samuel Aruwan, Overseeing Commissioner of the Ministry of Internal Security and Home Affairs, Sharme’s death occurred during a fierce gun battle at ‘Hambakko’ in Rijana and Kaso Forests.
“Sharme’s gang was responsible for numerous attacks, killings, and kidnappings in Millennium City, Maraban Rido, Kujama, Kajuru, Maro, and surrounding villages,” Aruwan stated.
The statement further warned residents not to assist injured bandits seeking medical attention, urging them to contact security forces instead.
