The Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ), Sokoto State Council, warmly congratulates its esteemed member, Alhaji Hayatu Jibo Dallatu, on his appointment as the new District Head of Tudun Wada, Sokoto, by the Executive Governor of Sokoto State, His Excellency, Dr. Ahmed Aliyu.
Alhaji Hayatu Jibo Dallatu is one of the eight persons appointed by the Governor as district heads, a development the NUJ considers a significant recognition of the experience, character and contributions of the appointees to society.
In a statement jointly signed by the Chairman and Secretary of the Council, Comrade Usman Mohammed Binji and Muhammad Nasiru Bello, the NUJ Sokoto State Council said it is particularly delighted that one of its members has been entrusted with such an important traditional responsibility.
“We believe his appointment reflects the confidence placed in his capacity to serve his community with humility, wisdom and dedication,” the statement said.
Alhaji Dallatu is an experienced journalist and media administrator who has served with distinction at Rima Television, Sokoto, Voice of Nigeria (VON), and currently serves as the General Manager of Alu FM, Sokoto.
Beyond his professional accomplishments, he is widely known among colleagues and associates for his humility, generosity, accessibility and cordial relationship with people.
These qualities, coupled with his understanding of society and years of experience in journalism, place him in a strong position to contribute meaningfully to his new traditional role.
The NUJ expressed confidence that his understanding of community affairs and his experience in communicating with people will enable him to contribute significantly towards promoting peace, unity, dialogue, mutual understanding and peaceful coexistence among the people of Tudun Wada.
The NUJ Sokoto State Council congratulated all eight newly appointed district heads and wished them wisdom and success in their new responsibilities.
It also commended Governor Ahmed Aliyu for the appointments and for recognising individuals who can contribute to the traditional administration and development of the state.
“On behalf of the entire NUJ Sokoto State Council, we wish Alhaji Hayatu Jibo Dallatu a successful tenure as District Head of Tudun Wada.
“May Allah Almighty grant him wisdom, sound judgement, good health and the strength to discharge his responsibilities with justice, fairness and compassion.
“May Allah guide him in serving his people, make his tenure a period of peace and progress, and make his appointment beneficial to Tudun Wada, Sokoto State and humanity. Ameen,” the statement added.
