Governor Caleb Mutfwang of Plateau State has dismissed circulating rumors of an Improvised Explosive Device (IED) planted at the old Jos University Teaching Hospital site near Terminus Market in Jos North Local Government Area.
In a statement released by his Director of Press and Public Affairs, Gyang Bere, the governor assured the public that security agencies, including the anti-bomb squad, had conducted a thorough search of the area and found no evidence of any explosive device.
Governor Mutfwang urged the people of Plateau State to remain calm and vigilant, and to report any suspicious activity to the appropriate authorities.
He reaffirmed the state government’s commitment to ensuring the safety and security of all citizens.
The governor encouraged residents to continue their daily activities without fear, emphasizing the government’s ongoing efforts to restore peace and stability to the region.
