A political rebirth and building has commenced come the 2027 general election with former vice president Atiku Abubakar and former governor of Adamawa Murtala Nyako blending to form an unbroken structure.
Reports close to the meeting revealed that the commitments from both sides with their influences on the two political ambassadors, Nigeria and Adamawa southern politics, will amount to changes in the 2027 general polls.
It is also noted that with the massive goodwill and unprecedented support enjoyed by the two prominent politicians, it is expected that any candidate who supported the support in the next governorship election in Adamawa will have an easy sail success in the poll.
“The last general election was basically between Nyako, who supported the APC candidate Aishatu Binani, and Atiku, who threw his weight behind the incumbent governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri of Adamawa State.
The source said, “The two political gladiators were able to cumulatively pull close to 700,000 votes. So if these two political giants come together to support one candidate, no force on earth could trounce that candidate.”
Another source close to the meeting which took place at the Abuja residence of former governor of Adamawa State, Murtala Nyako noted that disturbed by the current economic turmoil, social insecurity, poverty and unprecedented hunger ravaging the country, especially the North, the two political gladiators decided to live behind their differences and form a formidable strength together to shift the goalpost of the country to prevent it from sinking under.
“The two politicians decided to form this patriot pact to save Nigeria from sinking under. You don’t need to be told that Nigeria is currently on the brink of total precipice occasioned by the unfriendly and highly insensitive policies of the Bola Ahmed Tinubu-led federal administration.
“Nyako is one Nigerian with vast national and international connections who has paid his dues as a retired general, a former military and civilian governor and an astute statesman. He commands tremendous respect in the military and civilian circles. He is one of the critical arrowheads behind the formation of APC, who worked tirelessly to ensure the victory of the party both at the federal level and Adamawa State in the 2015 general election.
The source further said, “So anyone he backs at the presidential election will surely record considerable electoral milestones. The same thing will happen in Adamawa State politics. So with the coming together of these forces, the 2027 general election will be very interesting.”
On the 2027 general election as asked, the discussion between the two politicians considering the fact that Atiku Abubakar is an interested party, the said, the issue of the 2027 general election is not on the card adding that “the immediate concern of these two political giants is how to chart a new course for Nigerians who are going through record hardship and save Nigeria from going adrift.
“Anything can happen along the line. Just like I enumerated the strength of Nyako, Atiku is also not a pushover,, and with the new alliances and permutations currently shaping ahead of 202,7, anything can happen. But I want to assure you that these two statesmen will take the best decision in the interest of Nigeria and Adamawa State,” said the source.
