Governor Dikko Umaru Radda of Katsina State has approved the appointment of businessman and philanthropist, Salisu Mamman, as a member of the Katsina State Council of Emirs.

The development was announced in a statement issued on Friday by the Permanent Secretary in charge of Security and Cabinet Affairs, Office of the Secretary to the State Government, Aminu Tukur, who said the appointment takes immediate effect.

According to the statement, Mamman, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Continental Computers, will represent the business community in the Council.

The appointment, it added, is in line with Section 5(1) of the Katsina State Emirate Council Law 2025.

“The inclusion of Salisu Mamman in the Emirate Council reflects the government’s commitment to ensuring inclusive representation of all key sectors, particularly the business community, in the traditional governance structure,” the statement read.

The government congratulated Mamman on his appointment and prayed for Allah’s guidance as he discharges his responsibilities.
