From Mu’awiya Bala Idris, Katsina
A member of the House of Representatives, Hon. Abdullahi Balarabe Dabai, has distributed mobility tricycles to 105 persons with disabilities in Bakori/Danja Federal Constituency of Katsina State.
Dabai said the distribution was part of his constituency intervention programme aimed at improving the mobility and livelihoods of persons with disabilities.
He explained that the beneficiaries were selected from all the wards in Bakori and Danja Local Government Areas to ensure fairness and inclusiveness.
The lawmaker called on political office holders, philanthropists, and well-meaning Nigerians to support persons with disabilities, describing such assistance as both a humanitarian responsibility and an act of worship.
He also urged the people of Bakori and Danja Local Government Areas to continue praying for the restoration of lasting peace in Katsina State.
Speaking on behalf of the beneficiaries, the Chairman of the Persons with Disabilities Association, Shehu Amadu, expressed gratitude to Hon. Dabai for the gesture.
Amadu described the intervention as the first of its kind in the area and appealed to the lawmaker and other well-meaning individuals to sustain their support for persons with disabilities.
