Former Minister of Aviation, Senator Hadi Sirika, has declared his intention to contest for the Daura Senatorial seat in Katsina State.
Sirika, who led thousands of supporters to the APC State Secretariat, described himself as a quality candidate with vast experience to represent the area at the hallowed chamber.
“I was elected as Senator representing Daura from 2011 to 2015. I served my people diligently,” he said.
He added that during his tenure, he facilitated the execution of federal government projects and secured jobs for many people.
Sirika assured the people of the Daura Senatorial District that, if given the opportunity, he would work for the development of the area.
He also stated that he is ready to abide by the party’s guidelines ahead of the primary election.
He commended the leadership of the party under Alhaji Bishir Gambo Saulawa for providing a level playing ground for all aspirants.
On the 2027 elections, Sirika expressed confidence that the APC at both the state and federal levels would emerge victorious.
He also announced the formation of a new political movement, “Dikko Kalas,” aimed at conducting house-to-house campaigns.
“From today, we have formed Dikko Kalas to campaign for the victory of the APC in Katsina State,” he said.
Sirika further praised Governor Dikko Radda for executing projects aimed at enhancing the standard of living of the people.
Earlier, while receiving Sirika, the APC Chairman in Katsina State, Alhaji Bishir Gambo Saulawa, described him as a great pillar of the party who works tirelessly to support its members.
Saulawa added that the party would adopt either a consensus arrangement or direct primaries among the contestants.
