The Executive Governor of Sokoto State, Dr. Ahmad Aliyu Sokoto has approved the release of Three N300,000,00 monthly for the payment of gratuity to civil servants who retired in 2024.
Those proposed to benefit were those who retired recently from the State Civil Service from January 2024 to July 2024.
A statement issued by Sirajo Ibrahim Gada, Public Relations Officer, Ministry of Finance,stated that the State Accountant General Umar Balarabe Ahmad, who is also the Chairman of the State Gratuity Payment Committee said the gesture is part of Governor Ahmad Aliyu’s administration’s magnanimity to pay those that retired during his tenure as at when due.
“The ongoing payment of backlog gratuities inherited by his administration for the years 2015 to December 2023 from the immediate past administration,” the statement read.
It’s added that arrangements are on top gear to formalize the full process of the payments as soon as possible.
