Tambuwal Local Government Council in Sokoto State has donated two brand-new ‘Day Long’ motorcycles to the National Drugs Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) field command.
Council Chairman Alhaji Abba Shehu Tambuwal presented the motorcycles, stating they will aid in raiding drug abuse hideouts.
Field Commander Hassa D. Mahuta expressed gratitude, ensuring the donation will enhance their capacity to protect the community from illicit drugs.
NDLEA Sokoto Command’s Assistant Commander, Mohammed Dahiru, also thanked the council.
During a follow-up visit to the local government secretariat, State Commander Adamu M. Iro assured the Chairman of proper logistics utilization.
Chairman Abba Shehu pledged continued support for NDLEA’s operations.
Amidst Sokoto State’s and Nigeria’s security challenges, the State Commander emphasized the need for collective commitment to public safety, noting that hard drugs fuel criminality.
