A member of the Kano State House of Assembly representing Tarauni Local Government Area, Kabiru Dahiru Sule (ADS), has completed the renovation of eight classrooms at Government Secondary School, Unguwa Uku, and the construction of a new Islamiyya school in Kauyen Alu, Kano State.

The projects, located in Unguwa Uku and Kauyen Alu wards respectively, were executed as part of the lawmaker’s constituency intervention aimed at improving access to both Western and Islamic education.

This was disclosed in a statement issued to The Triumph on Monday by Tarauni Local Government Information Officer, Adamu Iliyasu Hotoro.

Quoting the lawmaker in in the statement, Sule said education remained the foundation of societal development, stressing that his decision to prioritise the sector was in line with the development agenda of the Kano State Government.

According to him, the intervention aligns with the education policy of Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf and the national leader of the New Nigeria Peoples Party, Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso, which places emphasis on strengthening learning at the grassroots.

“The renovation of classrooms at GSS Unguwa Uku and the construction of the Islamiyya school in Kauyen Alu are part of my campaign promises to improve the standard of education and enhance the learning environment for our children,” Sule said.

He added that the projects were targeted at improving the welfare of children and youths in the local government by providing conducive learning facilities.

The lawmaker reaffirmed his commitment to executing more people-oriented projects across key sectors, assuring constituents of continued legislative support for development initiatives in the area.

Sule also expressed appreciation to Governor Yusuf, the Speaker of the Kano State House of Assembly, Jibril Ismail Falgore, the Commissioner for Education, Ali Haruna Makoda, and the Chairman of Tarauni Local Government, Ahmed Ibrahim Muhammad Sekure, for their support and cooperation.

He further called on residents to support and monitor government projects to ensure sustainability and accountability.
