President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has assured the deployment of government instruments to rescue the 25 abducted students of Government Girls Secondary School, Maga, as Governor Nasir Idris warned on the potentiality of the abduction acts of sabotaging the enhancement of Girl-Child education.

President Tinubu, represented by Vice President Kashim Shettima, vowed to deploy effective government machinery for the students’ immediate rescue.

The Chief of Army staff and security agencies have already developed a strategy for the rescue operation as earlier directed by President Tinubu.

President Tinubu has warned that the situation transcends political differences and emphasizes the need for unity, compassion, and commitment to finding solutions to Nigeria’s security challenges.

Governor Nasir Idris, who visibly remained worrisome since the incident occurred, expressed fears that continued targeting of female schools could undermine efforts to enhance girl-child education.

Comrade Nasir Idris, a professionally trained teacher and internationally acknowledged labour leader, reassured his administration’s commitment to providing logistics support to security agencies and pleaded with the federal government to do whatever it takes to ensure immediate rescue of the students.

The vice president, before he departed to Abuja, had a close door meeting with Governor Nasir kauran Gwandu, top federal and state governments functioneries and traditional rulers from Zuru emirate including the Emir, Muhammadu Sanusi Mika’ilu Sami Gomo lll, Galadiman Zuru Major-General Muhammadu Magoro and the Chief of Fakai Alhaji Hudu Danmalam among others.
