From Umar Danladi Ado, Sokoto
Former Sokoto State Military Administrator, Navy Captain Abdulrasheed Adisa Raji (Rtd), has praised Governor Ahmed Aliyu for his performance, saying he has not disappointed the people of Sokoto State who voted him into office.
Captain Raji made this remark while receiving a souvenir from the Governor after commissioning a 14-kilometer rural road project in Gwadabawa Local Government Area.
He expressed satisfaction with the rapid transformation and people-oriented projects being executed across the state, urging the Governor to sustain the tempo of development.
“You have moved Sokoto from step four to step eight. I’m sure very soon it will reach step ten,” Raji said, specifically commending the urban renewal initiative.
The retired naval officer emphasized the importance of policy continuity in governance and appealed to the people to continue supporting Governor Aliyu.
He also commended Senator Aliyu Magatakarda Wamakko for his contributions to national development.
In response, Governor Aliyu described Captain Raji as a patriotic Nigerian who served the country with dedication and sacrifice.
He thanked him for honoring the state’s invitation and prayed for his continued good health and guidance.
