The Zamfara State Chapter of the Amalgamated Union of Foodstuffs and Cattle Dealers of Nigeria, in collaboration with the L-Press Project, has distributed animal feed processing machines to the association’s leaders across the state’s 14 local government areas.
The distribution aims to simplify livestock rearing and enable members to engage in animal husbandry more easily and efficiently.
Speaking at the distribution ceremony, the Chairman of the association, Comrade Aminu Garba Gusau, said the L-Press Project, in partnership with the Zamfara State Government, provided the equipment to the association’s leadership to address some of the challenges associated with livestock rearing.
Comrade Aminu Gusau added that the association’s leadership considered it appropriate to distribute the equipment to its leaders across all 14 local government areas to ensure wider access and benefits.
He expressed appreciation to the L-Press Project for collaborating with the Zamfara State Government to establish a major veterinary hospital and for providing significant support to the association.
In his remarks, the Acting Head of the L-Press Project in Zamfara State, Alhaji Lauwali, explained that the decision to provide the processing machines was aimed at making livestock rearing easier and more productive across the state.
He urged the beneficiaries to make proper use of the equipment to ensure that it serves the interests of members of the Cattle Transporters’ Association (Fataken Shanu).
The event, which took place in front of the association’s office in Gusau, the state capital, was attended by members of the association, a representative of the Gusau Emirate and other dignitaries.
