Zamfara State Governor, Dauda Lawal has been commended for approving the construction of 108 kilometers Gusau, Magami to Dansadau road in of the state.
The commendation was made by the stakeholder of Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), in the state and an aspirant for Maru local government area chairmanship, Honorable Bello Muhammad Jabaka, while speaking with the Triumph correspondent during official flag-off of the road at Gusau.
According to him, the commendation become imperative considering that the Gusau, magami to Dansadau road is very important to the people of the area.
It could be recalled that, recently Governor Dauda Lawal has presides over an executive council meeting, where he approved the construction of 108km Magami to Dansadau road project.
The governor also approved the contract award to Dantata and Sawoe construction Co. Ltd, being the lowest responsiveness bidder and shortest contract duration of 18 months at cost of N81.189,223, 505.73.’
He added that, Magami to Dansadau road is one of the major problem facing the area especially on issue of security challenges, stressing that, if the present administration of Dauda Lawal completed the project in18 months period, this will help to reduce security challenges in the areas of the state.
He noted that previous government refused to do the project but Governor Dauda Lawal has made promise to do the project if elected and now he has started to complete his promise to areas with view to restore peace in the area.
In a related development, Governor Dr Dauda Lawal also has commissioned reconstruction of Maru General Hospital.
The construction was an upgrade to existing structures and additional new buildings for expansion of the hospital capacity to accommodate more patients.
Governor Lawal assured that his administration will continue prioritizing the health sector with a focus on improving infrastructure, providing medical equipment, and supporting healthcare professionals to deliver efficient services.
Honorable Jabaka called on the people of Maru local government to utilize the facilities responsibility and maintain them for future generations.
He also use the medium and commended the governor for awarding contract worth billions of naira under state Universal Basic Education (SUBEB) to choose 100 politicians from 14 local government areas of the state and awarded contract to them in order to enhance education in Zamfara state.
