The football semi-final at the 2024 African Military Games in Abuja saw Nigeria lose 1-0 to Cameroon on Thursday.

The match, which ended goalless after regular time, went into extra time, where Cameroon scored the decisive goal to secure their place in the final.

In the other semi-final, Algeria triumphed over Equatorial Guinea with a dominant 2-0 victory, securing their spot in the final as well.

Cameroon and Algeria will face off in the final on Saturday, while Nigeria will play Equatorial Guinea in the third-place match.

The 2024 African Military Games, currently underway in Abuja, feature 20 events with 1,625 athletes from 21 African countries, including Nigeria, Zambia, Tunisia, Sierra Leone, and Ghana, among others.

The games, which began on November 18, 2024, are scheduled to conclude on November 30, 2024.
