The National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Prof. Nentawe Goshwe Yilwatda, has visited victims of the Angwan Rukuba attack in Jos North Local Government Area of Plateau State and donated N15 million to support their treatment.

Yilwatda, who visited the victims at the Jos University Teaching Hospital (JUTH) described the attack as barbaric and unacceptable, vowing that the killings in Plateau State must come to an end.

According to a statement signed by his Special Adviser on Media and Communications Strategy, Mr. Abimbola Tooki, the APC Chairman was accompanied by his wife, Dr. Martina Yilwatda, in a show of compassion and solidarity with the victims and their families.

He said the donation was aimed at easing the burden of medical care and providing relief to victims undergoing physical and emotional trauma.

The APC Chairman assured that the Federal Government, under President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, remains committed to restoring peace, strengthening security, and protecting lives and property across the country.

He urged political, traditional, and religious leaders, as well as community stakeholders, to unite against violence and work collectively to prevent further attacks.

Yilwatda also commiserated with families of those who lost their lives and commended the management and staff of JUTH for their prompt response and professionalism.

He stressed that the tragedy must not be politicized or normalized, adding that decisive actions must be taken to ensure lasting peace in Plateau State.
