APC North-West zonal congress: Gov. Sani hails Tinubu’s courage in reviving growth in North-West
From Mustapha Saye, Kaduna
Kaduna State governor, Sen. Uba Sani has praised President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s leadership, describing it as defined by courage, clarity of vision and an unyielding commitment to repositioning the nation for sustainable progress.
Speaking at the APC North-West zonal congress in Kaduna held at Umaru Musa Yar Adua hall, Sen. Sani said targeted interventions in agriculture were lifting productivity, while reforms in oil and gas were improving efficiency and strengthening energy and security.
He also singled out the student loan scheme as a key social intervention that was widening access to education.
On infrastructure, the governor noted that federal investments in roads, rail and energy were already stimulating economic activity nationwide.
“Massive investments in roads, rail and energy are reconnecting communities, stimulating commerce and unlocking new economic opportunities,” he said.
Localising the impact, Sen. Sani said his state and the wider North-West were seeing tangible gains, saying that security had improved, farmers were returning to their fields, markets were thriving again and confidence was gradually being restored in communities.
He urged party members to treat the congress as more than a leadership selection exercise.
“This congress is not only about leadership selection; it is about strengthening our unity, deepening our structures and aligning our strategies for the future,” he told delegates, asking them to take the message of progress back to their constituencies.
Dignitaries at the event included Deputy Senate President Barau Jibrin; Speaker of the House of Representatives, Abbas Tajuddeen; ministers; North-West governors; and other senior APC officials.
Meanwhile, Garba Datti Babawo was returned unopposed as APC National Vice Chairman (North-West) through a consensus arrangement.
He thanked governors and delegates for renewing his mandate and pledged to work for the party’s success in the next electoral cycles.
