Speaking with journalists shortly after the wedding ceremony at the residence of the bridegroom in Kunya Town on Saturday, Dr. Gaddafi noted that democracy has strengthened governance and accelerated development across the country.
According to him, democracy has enabled citizens to participate in the electoral process by electing their councillors, local government chairmen, governors, and the President, thereby promoting accountability and good governance.
He added that numerous capital projects and infrastructural developments have been executed in communities across the country as a result of democratic governance.
The commissioner also described the bridegroom, Associate Professor Abdullahi Bala Kunya, as an accommodating, humble, and compassionate individual who has contributed positively to society.
