The Federal Government, in partnership with the Kano State Government has intensified efforts to monitor and accelerate key development projects across the state in line with the Renewed Hope Agenda of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.

Leading the high-level inspection tour were the President Special Adviser on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga, and the Special Adviser on Media and Public Communications, Sunday Dare, who assessed the progress of critical infrastructure and social service projects together with Special Adviser on Mobilisations Abdullahi Tanko Yakasai.

The delegation commenced its visit at the Malam Aminu Kano Teaching Hospital, where they inspected a solar power initiative designed to ensure stable electricity supply to the facility.

The team also visited the Abdullahi Wase Specialist Hospital and the Asiya Bayero Pediatric Hospital where similar interventions are underway to strengthen healthcare delivery.

As part of the tour, attention was also given to major infrastructure projects, including the ongoing construction of flyover bridges at Dan Agundi and Tal’udu, as well as the Day Science School located along Government House Road.

Speaking during the inspection Dare reiterated the Federal Government resolve to provide reliable, solar-powered electricity to critical institutions, particularly healthcare facilities that require uninterrupted power to function effectively.

The Kano State Commissioner for Health, Dr. Abubakar Labaran Yusuf said the state government remains committed to upgrading health infrastructure and expanding access to quality services, noting that the interventions would significantly improve patient care.

On infrastructure development,the Commissioner for Works, Marwan Ahmad, expressed satisfaction with the pace of work on the flyover projects, assuring that contractors are working round the clock to meet the completion deadline set for the end of the month.

Also speaking, the Commissioner for Information and Internal Affairs, Ibrahim Abdullahi Waiya said the tour provided an opportunity for the Federal Government delegation to gain firsthand insight into ongoing projects, while reinforcing cooperation between both governments.

The inspection visit highlights the growing synergy between the Federal and Kano State Governments in driving development, ensuring accountability, and delivering people-oriented projects aimed at improving the living standards of citizens.
