The Executive Governor of Kano State, Alhaji Abba Kabir Yusuf, has assigned portfolios to the newly sworn-in commissioners and special advisers.
The swearing-in ceremony took place at the Kano Government House, where Governor Yusuf charged the new commissioners to demonstrate dedication and commitment to their duties.
He emphasized that the appointments were carefully considered to ensure the selection of capable individuals who could contribute effectively to achieving good governance.
The portfolios of the new commissioners are as follows:
Shehu Wada Sagagi: Commissioner for Investment, Commerce, and Industries
Dr. Ismail Aliyu Danmaraya: Commissioner for Finance
Dr. Shehu Sani: Commissioner for Power and Sustainable Energy
Dr. Dahiru Hashim: Commissioner for Environment and Climate Change
Abdulkadir Abdulsalam: Commissioner for Rural Development
Abdullahi Waiya: Commissioner for Information
Wada Ma’aji: Commissioner for Public Procurement
Governor Yusuf urged the appointees to live up to the expectations of the people by working diligently to achieve the administration’s objectives.
Reassuring the public of his administration’s commitment to fulfilling campaign promises, the governor called on the new appointees to collaborate with their colleagues for optimum performance.
Governor Yusuf also commended the Kano State House of Assembly for their cooperation and dedication to the state’s development.
