Kano State Governor, Alhaji Abba Kabir Yusuf, has disclosed that his administration has fulfilled about 90 percent of the promises made to the people of the state within three years of assuming office.

Governor Yusuf made the declaration on Saturday while receiving the Emir of Rano, Ambassador Muhammad Isa Umaru, who paid him a Sallah homage at the Government House, Kano.

The disclosure was contained in a statement issued by the Governor’s spokesperson, Sunusi Bature Dawakin Tofa, on Saturday.

According to Governor Yusuf, his administration has remained steadfast in delivering democratic dividends through people-oriented policies and impactful development projects across the state.

He noted that significant achievements have been recorded in key sectors, including education, healthcare, infrastructure, agriculture, water supply, youth empowerment, and economic development, all aimed at improving the living standards of citizens and positioning Kano State for sustainable growth.

The Governor reaffirmed his commitment to fulfilling the remaining promises before the expiration of his tenure and sustaining the pace of development across all parts of the state.

He assured the Emir and the people of the Rano Emirate of the timely expansion and dualisation of the Karfi–Rano Road, continued provision of subsidised fertilisers to farmers, and the renovation of the Emir’s Palace, among other developmental projects.

Governor Yusuf also expressed gratitude to the people of the Rano Emirate for their unwavering support, patience, and confidence in his administration, pledging to continue working diligently to justify the trust reposed in him.

Earlier, the Emir of Rano, Ambassador Muhammad Isa Umaru, commended the Governor for what he described as remarkable achievements recorded within three years in office.

The Emir particularly praised the completion of five-kilometre road projects in Rano, Kibiya, and Bunkure Local Government Areas, as well as the ongoing Kaluwaiwai Water Project.

He further lauded the Governor’s efforts in facilitating the upgrade of the Rano Emirate Hospital to a Federal Medical Centre and the conversion of the School of Rural Technology, Rano, into a Federal Polytechnic.

Ambassador Muhammad Isa Umaru assured the Governor of the continued support and cooperation of the people of the emirate in promoting peace, security, and stability in Kano State and Nigeria as a whole.
