Kano Head of Service, Abdullahi Musa has appeal to the Kano State Health Trust Fund Agency to prioritize the healthcare needs of vulnerable populations, particularly women and children during a familiarization visit to the agency.
He emphasized the importance of addressing the significant disparities in access to healthcare services faced by these groups, who are often marginalized and excluded from essential health care due to financial constraints and lack of awareness.
According to a statement issued by Spokesperson of the office, Bintu Nuhu Yakasai said he head of service urged the Alagency to intensify its efforts in reaching out to these vulnerable groups, ensuring that they have equal access to quality healthcare services, and receive the necessary support to improve their health and well-being.
He commended their efforts so far but encouraged them to do more, stressing that the state government is committed to protecting the health and welfare of all citizens in the state.
He further urged them to explore additional funding sources, including corporate bodies, philanthropic organizations, and international donors, to supplement the state government’s allocation.
He encouraged them to build strategic partnerships and collaborations to leverage resources, expertise, and funding to support their programs and initiatives.
He added that by diversifying their funding sources, the agency can increase its impact, reach more people, and make a meaningful difference in the lives of the populations they serve.
The familiarization visit provided an opportunity for the Head of Service and his entourage to interact with the agency’s management staff, gaining insight into their operations, challenges, and achievements.
He expressed his appreciation for their dedication and hard work, and pledged his support to ensure the agency has the necessary resources to fulfill its mandate.
