Former All Progressives Congress (APC) governorship aspirant in Yobe State, Kashim Musa Tumsah (KMT), MFR, has appealed to his supporters to remain peaceful, patient, and law-abiding as consultations continue over the party’s 2027 governorship ticket.

In a statement issued on Sunday, Tumsah thanked his supporters for their loyalty and steadfastness following his disqualification from the APC governorship primaries, which he described as unjust.

He recalled that after the outcome of the primaries, he had urged his supporters to remain calm and avoid actions capable of undermining the unity of the APC or affecting the party’s chances in the 2027 general elections.

While acknowledging the disappointment and frustration among his supporters, Tumsah expressed confidence that ongoing consultations, discussions, and engagements with relevant stakeholders would lead to a fair and amicable resolution of the dispute.

He urged his supporters to continue exercising restraint and refrain from making statements or taking actions that could escalate political tensions or weaken the party.

Tumsah assured them that every effort was being made to secure a fair, legally sustainable, and widely acceptable outcome, adding that any decision reached would be communicated to them at the appropriate time.

He reaffirmed his commitment to the peace, unity, and development of Yobe State and Nigeria, expressing optimism that justice would prevail and that decisions taken would serve the overall interest of the state.

Tumsah also prayed for Allah’s guidance for all those involved in resolving the matter, urging them to uphold justice and act in the best interest of the people.
