Katsina State Government has expressed worried on federal government failure to  complete Kano -Katsina road started during late President Umaru Musa Yar’Adua tenure.

The state Commissioner of land, Dr Faisal Umar Kaita at a meeting with Personal Assistant to President Tinubu Khadiza Kareem Omotayo said non payment of compensation hindered progess for completion of the road.

He noted that non completion of the road hinder smooth flow of business activities between Kano-Katsina -Niger Republic and other African countries.

“We are worried that despite importance of this road, government has failed to paid compensation to people affected” he said.

He further said Katsina state government is ready to discuss and agree with any term for completion of the road.Faisal also draw the attention of the federal government to settle issue of compensation for take off and completion of   Kano-Daura- Katsina -Maradi  railway project as  well expansion of Umaru Musa Yar’Adua  Airport.

On his part, state chairman of ALGON Engr. Lawal Yandaki called on the Federal Government to focus attention for construction of earth dams across 34 council areas in Katsina atate to generate income for unemployed youth.

Represented by Badaru Musa, Yandaki further request Federal Government to construct township road to enhance movement of agricultural products expicaillay within rural areas.

Meanwhile, a renowned Islamicreacher, Sheikh Yakubu Musa  Hassan has appealed to Federal Government to address insecurity problem facing the North to pave way for its development.
