According to Danja, the funds were used to provide immediate relief and succor to affected individuals and families.

He revealed that N151.1 million was allocated for medical assistance to victims injured in bandit attacks.

He also stated that financial support was provided to families of security personnel who lost their lives in encounters with bandits.

“This financial assistance is not compensation or gratuity but a gesture to provide temporary relief to the families,” he clarified.

The government extended similar assistance to civilians who were injured and those rescued from captivity.

Additionally, food items worth millions of naira were distributed to victims of bandit attacks during this period.

Danja highlighted efforts to return displaced children to school, in collaboration with the State Universal Basic Education Board (SUBEB).

Affected children are being provided with uniforms, bags, shoes, and other learning materials to facilitate their education.

He also commended international donor agencies for supporting the government’s efforts in addressing the challenges of insecurity in the state.

This comprehensive response underscores the government’s commitment to alleviating the plight of those affected by the ongoing security challenges in Katsina State.
