Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf of Kano State has inaugurated the construction of two roads and a cattle market in the Dambatta and Minjibir local government areas of the state.

According to the governor, the road projects, totaling 15.077 kilometers, cost N2,161,406,383.50,

He added that the cattle market was reconstructed and upgraded at N340 million.

The projects, funded by the Islamic Development Bank and the Lives and Livelihood Fund, aim to develop agro-pastoral systems, ensure food security, reduce poverty, and improve livelihoods.

Governor Yusuf also described the move as a major milestone, underscoring his administration’s commitment to sustainable infrastructural and agricultural systems.

The upgraded cattle market features modern facilities, including loading ramps, watering facilities, and veterinary services infrastructure.

He expressed appreciation to the funding partners and urged beneficiaries to utilize the infrastructure and empowerment packages.

The District Head of Dambatta, Alhaji Mansur Mukhtar, thanked the state government for bringing development closer to the people.

The projects are part of the Kano State Agro-Pastoral Development Project (KSADP) interventions.
