Former Commissioner of Water Resources in Kaduna State, Edward Percy Masha, has been elected as the new Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in the state.
Masha polled 2,123 votes to defeat Comrade Danjuma Bello Sarki, who secured 250 votes.
The election was monitored by INEC officials, National Officers of the PDP, and the media.
Alhaji Saidu Adamu emerged as Secretary of the Kaduna PDP unopposed, while Godiya Ayuba Lolo won the State PDP Woman Leader position with 2,102 votes.
In his acceptance speech, Masha promised inclusive leadership and an open-door policy.
He emphasized the need for unity ahead of the Local Government elections.
Outgoing Chairman Felix Hassan Hyet urged party members to support the new leadership to return the party to its former glory.
The position of Assistant Treasurer goes to Bronco (1,544 votes), Vice-Chairman Central was won by Isman Ahmad Garba Garkuwa (2,299 votes), and the position of Financial Secretary was won by Aliyu Bello and BarrincludeKhalid Khalid, who emerged as legal adviser.
