The Attorney-General and Commissioner for Justice in Kano State, Abdulkarim Kabiru Maude (SAN), has congratulated Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf on his conferment as a Fellow of the Nigerian Institute of Civil Engineers (NICE), describing the recognition as a well-deserved honour for excellence and dedicated service to humanity.

In a statement signed by Najib Lawan Danbazau, Public Relations Officer of the Ministry for Justice, Maude hailed the governor as a technocrat and professional engineer whose vision and expertise have transformed the state through massive infrastructural development.

According to him, “Governor Yusuf’s commitment to urban renewal has brought a new face to Kano. His passion for engineering excellence and people-centered governance is evident in every bridge, underpass, and road constructed under his leadership.”

He added that the governor’s recognition by the Nigerian Institute of Civil Engineers “is not just a personal honour but a collective achievement that reflects the progress and resilience of the good people of Kano State.”

Maude expressed optimism that by next year, Kano would stand among the most developed cities in Nigeria, citing the governor’s ongoing infrastructure renewal and dedication to sustainable urban development.

He congratulated Governor Yusuf and the people of Kano, noting that the honour represents “a source of pride for every citizen who believes in growth, excellence, and service to humanity.”
