The National Hajj Commission of Nigeria (NAHCON) has unveiled the official Hajj fare for the 2025 pilgrimage season.

This announcement was made following the approval by the Office of the Vice President and highlights a concerted effort to maintain affordability for intending pilgrims despite economic challenges.

Under the leadership of its Chairman, Professor Abdullahi Saleh Usman, NAHCON collaborated extensively with key stakeholders, including representatives from the Presidency and the Forum of State Executive Secretaries.

The team, led by Malam Ameen Amshi, Special Assistant to the President on Special Duties, worked tirelessly to prevent significant hikes in the Hajj fare.

For 2025, the Hajj fare is categorized based on regions:

  • Borno and Adamawa Zone: N8,327,125.59
  • Southern States: N8,784,085.59
  • Northern Zone: N8,457,685.59

Professor Saleh commended the collective efforts of stakeholders, particularly the Forum of State Executive Secretaries, represented by its Chairman, Malam Idris Ahmad Almakura (Executive Secretary, Nasarawa State Pilgrims Welfare Board), Deputy Chairman Alhaji Faruku Aliyu Yaro (Executive Secretary, Kebbi State), and Secretary Alhaji Abubakar Salihu (Executive Secretary, Adamawa State).

“This fare is the product of extensive consultations to ensure inclusivity and affordability. I appreciate the support of the Presidency and our stakeholders in reaching this modest rate,” Professor Saleh stated.

The Chairman also urged intending pilgrims to adhere to the guidelines set by Saudi authorities and emphasized the importance of early payment and timely registration to avoid last-minute disruptions.

For a detailed breakdown of the fare and further inquiries, intending pilgrims are advised to visit the NAHCON website at nahcon.gov.ng or contact their respective State Pilgrims’ Welfare Boards.
