The Territorial Manager of NEMA overseeing Kano and Jigawa States, Dr. Nura, disclosed this while speaking on recent emergency response operations in the region.

According to him, the Federal Government, through NEMA, has demonstrated strong commitment and compassion in addressing disaster situations, particularly flood incidents affecting several communities.

He noted that the agency has also extended support to victims of fire outbreaks in major markets, including Singa and Kurmi markets in Kano State, as well as other affected communities in Jigawa State.

Dr. Nura explained that the interventions included financial assistance and relief materials aimed at reducing the hardship faced by victims of the disasters.
