Sokoto State Ministry of Health says no report of a Cholera outbreak has so far been reported in the state.
The Permanent Secretary of the Ministry, Alhaji Abubakar Ahmad Walin Gagi stated that the ministry has already taken all the necessary measures for prompt response in case of any eventuality.
Wali Gagi therefore enjoined people to ensure personal and environmental hygiene, especially during this rainy season.
Alhaji Abubakar also stressed the need for people to ensure the consumption of safe drinking water.
According to him, this would help in no small measure in preventing people from Cholera.
A statement signed by the Public Relations Officer of the Ministry Nura Bello Maikwanci said the Permanent Secretary also called on people to promptly report an outbreak of any disease to the ministry or nearest hospital for quick response.
