The Nigeria Union of Teachers (NUT), Kebbi State chapter, under the leadership of its Chairman, Comrade Zaki Sarki, has commended the Governor of Kebbi State, Nasir Idris, for launching a digital training programme for civil servants in the state.
The commendation was contained in a statement signed by Comrade Zaki Sarki and made available to journalists in Birnin Kebbi.
According to the statement, the union described the initiative as a clear demonstration of the governor’s commitment to building the capacity of workers and improving service delivery across the state.
The NUT particularly appreciated the administration’s focus on equipping 2,000 junior and middle cadre civil servants with modern e-governance skills aimed at enhancing efficiency, transparency, and productivity in the public service.
The union also acknowledged the efforts of the Kebbi State government in clearing salary and pension arrears, implementing the N75,000 minimum wage, recruiting over 5,000 workers, and upgrading schools and health facilities across the state.
The statement further pledged the continued support and cooperation of teachers in Kebbi State towards the successful implementation of the administration’s policies and programmes.
