Parents should appreciate the benefits their children are receiving from the education initiatives of the Kano State Government under Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf, the Director of Gidan Malamai under the Kano State Senior Secondary Management Board (KSSSMB), Mallam Sani Haladu, has said.
Haladu made the statement while responding to questions from our reporter on the ongoing qualifying examinations being conducted across secondary schools in Kano State.
He commended the efforts of Governor Yusuf in investing heavily in the education sector, saying the administration had demonstrated commitment to improving educational infrastructure and providing better learning opportunities for students across the state.
According to him, various aspects of the education sector have received attention under the present administration, including the construction and renovation of schools and the provision of educational resources.
Haladu said the attention given to education by the government was already yielding positive results, particularly in the performance of Kano students in examinations such as the West African Senior School Certificate Examination (WASSCE), National Examination Council (NECO) examinations and other related examinations.
He also highlighted the establishment of a state polytechnic in Gaya Emirate and the construction of primary, secondary and Islamiyya schools as some of the projects he attributed to the administration.
The KSSSMB director further noted that the government’s investment in education had continued to attract the attention and support of development partners, non-governmental organisations and other stakeholders.
He urged parents to support the government’s efforts by ensuring that their children take their education seriously and make proper use of the opportunities provided for them.
Haladu also described Governor Yusuf as a leader who, in his view, had given significant attention to education and other development sectors in Kano State.
He expressed the hope that continued investment in education would further improve the quality of education and contribute to the development of human capital in the state.
On the 2027 political contest, Haladu expressed his personal support for Governor Yusuf’s re-election, citing what he described as the administration’s achievements during its tenure.
