The Nigeria Police Force, Zone 10 Command Headquarters, Sokoto, has assured residents of Sokoto, Kebbi, and Zamfara States of adequate security arrangements before, during, and after the Eid-el-Kabir celebration.
The Assistant Inspector-General of Police in charge of the zone, AIG Gyogon Augustine Grimah, has directed Commissioners of Police within the zone to deploy intensive operational strategies aimed at safeguarding residents, worship centres, and public spaces during the festive period, according to a statement issued by the Zone Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO).
AIG Grimah reaffirmed the commitment of the Nigeria Police Force to ensuring a peaceful, safe, and hitch-free celebration across the zone, in line with its constitutional responsibility of protecting lives and property.
In furtherance of this commitment, he instructed the Commissioners of Police in the three states under the zone to implement proactive security measures covering worship centres, recreational areas, highways, and other public spaces throughout the Eid-el-Kabir celebration period.
