The Sokoto State chapter of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has approved the appointment of a new State Women Leader and Zonal Secretary for the Sokoto South Senatorial District.
The decision was announced during a State Working Committee (SWC) meeting chaired by the State PDP Chairman, Hon. Muhammadu Bello Aliyu Goronyo.
Those appointed are Hajiya Amina Awwal Yar Tsakuwa as State Women Leader, Alhaji Umaru Arzika Mandera as Zonal Secretary for Sokoto South Senatorial District, and Hajiya Nunu S. Fawa Goronyo as State Ex-officio member.
Hajiya Amina Awwal Yar Tsakuwa replaces Zainab Naseer Dogon Daji, who was removed from the position of Women Leader over alleged anti-party activities.
Similarly, Alhaji Umaru Arzika Mandera replaces Ahmed S. Pawa, who was also removed for the same reason.
In the same vein, Hajiya Nunu S. Fawa Goronyo replaces Hajiya Amina Awwal Yar Tsakuwa, who has now been appointed as the new Women Leader.
The chairman congratulated the newly appointed officials and urged them to uphold the principles of the party and work diligently for its progress at all levels.
