President Bola Ahmed Tinubu on Monday inaugurated major infrastructure projects executed by Adamawa State Governor, Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri, expressing satisfaction with the level of development across the state.
Tinubu, who was on a one-day working visit to Yola, described Fintiri as a “wonderful project master” whose administration has embarked on people-oriented programmes.
Among the projects inaugurated were a multi-billion-naira eight-lane underpass bridge on Galadima Aminu Road, model schools constructed across the 21 local government areas, a new multipurpose hall, a High Court complex, a newly built officers’ complex and a new Government House office complex.
Speaking during the inauguration in Yola, the President said the projects reflected purposeful leadership and commitment to service.
“What I have seen in Yola and across Adamawa State shows commitment to development and service to the people. These projects are people-oriented and impactful,” Tinubu said.
He added that the scale and quality of the infrastructure indicated that the governor was focused on improving the living standards of residents.
The President was received on arrival at the Yola International Airport by Governor Fintiri, top government officials and party leaders, before proceeding to commission the projects executed over the past six years.
The model schools inaugurated across the 21 council areas comprise pre-primary, primary and junior secondary sections, complete with sports facilities.
Tinubu also interacted with top government officials, traditional rulers and religious leaders during the visit, while residents and students lined major roads in Yola to welcome the President.
The visit highlights federal recognition of state-level development efforts and underscores cooperation across party lines, as Tinubu is of the All Progressives Congress while Fintiri belongs to the Peoples Democratic Party.
