Kano State Governor, Abba Kabir Yusuf, has on Saturday participated in the All Progressives Congress (APC) presidential primary election held in Kano State, where he led party members during the exercise at Diso Ward in Gwale Local Government Area.

This was contained in a statement issued by the Governor’s spokesman, Sunusi Bature Dawakin Tofa, on Saturday.

Governor Yusuf served as the accredited agent of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu during the primary election at the ward level, which was conducted peacefully and in an orderly manner by party officials and members.

At the end of the exercise, results announced at Diso Ward showed that President Tinubu secured 5,277 votes, while his sole rival, Stanley Osifo, polled zero votes.

The APC presidential primary featured President Tinubu and businessman Stanley Osifo as the two contestants for the party’s 2027 presidential ticket.

The governor commended APC members in Kano for their discipline, unity, and massive turnout during the exercise, describing the process as a demonstration of the party’s strength and internal democracy.

Governor Yusuf also reaffirmed his commitment to supporting initiatives aimed at strengthening the APC ahead of the 2027 general elections.

Party stakeholders and supporters who participated in the exercise expressed confidence in the leadership of President Tinubu and pledged continued support for the administration.
