From Musa Muhammad Kutama, Katsina
The governor of Katsina State, Dikko Umar Radda has expressed confidence that President Bola Ahmed Tinubu will secure victory in the 2027 general election with a wide margin.
Radda stated this while speaking with reporters in his hometown of Radda after casting his vote during the All Progressives Congress (APC) presidential primary election.
The governor dismissed claims and speculations suggesting that President Tinubu would not be re-elected by Nigerians.
“All this noise by critics creating negative impressions is not true. President Tinubu is on the ground and enjoys the support of millions of APC supporters across the country,” he said.
Radda described the large turnout of APC supporters during the presidential primary in Katsina State as a clear indication of the party’s growing popularity and acceptance among the people.
“What we witnessed today has encouraged us and strengthened our belief that the APC will win the 2027 elections at all levels,” he added.
The governor further expressed confidence that the 2027 elections would be conducted peacefully, stressing that the APC remained optimistic of victory based on the achievements of the government in providing social amenities and developmental projects.
“The 2027 election will be peaceful, and we are confident that APC will emerge victorious because of what is on ground in terms of provision of social amenities by our government,” Radda stated.
He explained that his presence in Radda town was in compliance with party guidelines directing members to participate in the direct presidential primary for the emergence of President Tinubu as the party’s presidential candidate.
Radda also described the conduct of the APC primaries in Katsina State, which produced candidates for governorship, National Assembly, and State Assembly positions, as peaceful and successful.
The governor commended party members in Radda town for their maturity and orderly conduct throughout the presidential primary election process.
