The leadership of the Government Secondary School (Unity) Ringim 1983 Class Chapter of the Old Boys Association, led by Hon. Auwalu Garba Soja Bakin Wapa, has reaffirmed its commitment to maintaining discipline among members of the association.
The reaffirmation followed the leadership’s condemnation of a publication made on the group’s platform by Malam Isah Maimota, which allegedly caused widespread dissatisfaction and questioned the integrity of one of the association’s respected members.
The publication was treated with utmost seriousness and described as an act driven by personal hatred, malice, and intent to injure the reputation of the affected member.
It was also regarded as a coordinated act of gross indiscipline, not only against the individual concerned but against the association as a whole.
According to a reliable source, Hon. Auwalu Soja, after extensive consultations with members of the association, announced that the leadership had resolved to impose an indefinite interactive sanction on the erring member.
The source further disclosed that Maimota was given the opportunity to retract the publication and show remorse, but he reportedly declined.
“It is our duty, as you entrusted us with the leadership of this beloved association, to guide its affairs and protect the integrity of every member, no matter the cost.
“We will not tolerate this or any similar act of indiscipline in the future. We will not allow anyone, regardless of who they are, to undermine the unity and progress of our association,” Auwalu Soja said.
