The former Governor of Katsina State, Aminu Bello Masari, has reminded party members in the state of the challenges ahead in securing victory in the 2027 general elections.
Masari made the remark during the affirmation of Governor Dikko Umar Radda, warning that the road to victory in 2027 would not be easy and would require hard work, sacrifice, and commitment from all members of the party.
He urged members not to relax after the successful conduct of the party’s consensus and affirmation processes, stressing the need for unity and focus ahead of the elections.
“We have the challenge of winning the 2027 election. Your target should be on our party flag bearers to ensure they all come out victorious,” he said.
Masari, who chairs the APC Reconciliation Committee on Party Consensus, commended aspirants who failed to secure tickets for their maturity, urging them to remain loyal to the party and continue working for its success in the 2027 elections.
He also congratulated those who emerged through the party consensus process, noting that their success should be seen as the will of Allah.
Similarly, Masari congratulated Governor Dikko Umar Radda on his affirmation as the party’s consensus candidate, describing it as a demonstration of unity and cooperation among party members.
Earlier, the Chairman of the Electoral Committee from the National Headquarters of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Yakubu Machido, announced the affirmation of Governor Dikko Umar Radda as the sole candidate of the party for the 2027 election.
Machido also presented affirmation documents to candidates for National Assembly and State Assembly positions.
In his acceptance speech, Governor Dikko Umar Radda expressed appreciation to party members for affirming him as the sole candidate of the party, pledging to work in collaboration with the APC towards the re-election of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and all other party candidates in the 2027 elections.
