A twenty-five-year-old man has been apprehended by Adamawa state police command for allegedly stabbing to death of his friend in the Ganye.

Usman was killed by his friend who robbed him of his belongings a motorcycle and the sum of Twenty thousand naira, N20,000 in Dage village of Ganye local government area of Adamawa state.

The   Adamawa state Commissioner of Police, Dankombo Morris said, “I have directed you for thorough and clinical investigation on the suspect, Yahaya Balarabe, a resident of Dage Village, Ganye Local Government Area.

“It was said Balarabe accompanied the Victim to his farm with pretence to assist him spraying Chemicals on his farm, there and then, the suspect, brutally attacked and killed the deceased Usman by Stabbing him with a Sharp Cutlass on the head and throwing him into a gutter.”

Morris said “The most sympathetic and darstered act was after killing him and rubbed him of his Motorcycle and cash of 20,000 Naira.

The suspect was apprehended following the report received from the deceased family members and the recovery of material evidence at the scene of the crime which is linked to him.

“Interestingly, the suspect voluntarily made a confessional statement Committing the Crime,  adding that he was only interested in taking possession of the deceased Motorcycle and Money.”

The Commissioner of Police CP Dankombo Morris, while expressing disappointment over the unfortunate incident, Commended Operatives of Ganye Divisional police Headquarters for Detecting, arresting and making it impossible for the Suspect to escape Justice.

Meanwhile, as part of the command’s effort to tackle Criminal activities and other related offences in the state, Morris has directed the Deputy Commissioner of Police in charge of CID to take over the investigation and ensure the law takes its course.

He equally called on the citizens to always report people of suspicious character around their neighbourhoods to the police.
