The Chairman of Bichi Local Government Area of Kano State, Hon. Hamza Sule Mai Fata, has congratulated Muslims across Nigeria and the world on the commencement of the Islamic New Year, 1448 After Hijrah (AH), urging the faithful to embrace the values of peace, unity, sacrifice, and devotion exemplified by the Holy Prophet Muhammad (SAW).
In a goodwill message marking the historic occasion, Hon. Mai Fata described the beginning of the new Islamic calendar as a time for deep reflection, spiritual renewal, and commitment to righteous living.
The chairman noted that the Hijrah of Prophet Muhammad (SAW) from Makkah to Madinah remains one of the most significant events in Islamic history, symbolizing perseverance, faith, courage, and dedication to the service of Allah and humanity.
According to him, Muslims should use the occasion to strengthen their relationship with Allah, promote peaceful coexistence, and contribute positively to the development of their communities and the nation at large.
Hon. Mai Fata called on residents of Bichi Local Government Area and Nigerians in general to continue praying for peace, security, and economic prosperity in Kano State and across the country.
He reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to providing quality leadership and implementing people-oriented projects aimed at improving the welfare and living standards of the people of Bichi Local Government Area.
The chairman also commended for his continued efforts in promoting good governance and development across Kano State, assuring him of the support and cooperation of the people of Bichi.
“As we welcome the Islamic New Year 1448AH, I extend my heartfelt congratulations to the entire Muslim Ummah. May Allah (SWT) grant us abundant blessings, good health, peace, progress, and prosperity throughout the year,” he stated.
Hon. Hamza Sule Mai Fata prayed for Allah’s guidance and protection for all Muslims and urged citizens to remain law-abiding and supportive of initiatives aimed at fostering unity and sustainable development.
He wished all Muslims a peaceful, prosperous, and spiritually rewarding Islamic New Year.
