From Muawuya bala ldris Katsina
The Member representing Batagarawa, Charanchi and Rimi Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives, Hon. Usman Murtala Banye, has distributed 9,000 bags of fertilizer to farmers across the three Local Government Areas of Katsina State.
The distribution which is fourth phase of the exercise was flagged off at Dandagoro, attracting farmers, political leaders and other stakeholders from the constituency.
Represented by Alhaji Yahaya Galadiman, the lawmaker said the intervention was aimed at supporting farmers during the rainy season and reducing the cost of agricultural inputs.
Galadima said the distribution of the 14 trailer-loads of fertilizer was part of efforts to boost agricultural production, improve farmers’ yields and contribute to food security.
He also urged constituents to support the lawmaker’s return to the National Assembly at the forthcoming elections, describing the initiative as part of his commitment to constituency development.
The event was attended by the Deputy APC Chairman for Katsina Zone, Alhaji Yahaya Asasanta; Chairman of Batagarawa Local Government, Hon. Yahya Kawo; and Hon. Nasiru Ala Iyawa, among other party leaders and stakeholders.
