The curfew imposed on the Jos-Bukuru metropolis of the Plateau State has again been relaxed from 7am to 7 pm.
The relaxation was announced by the Plateau State Government through the Director of Press and Public Affairs to Governor Caleb Manasseh Mutfwang on Monday.
The relaxation is as of Tuesday, August 13, 2024; residents are permitted to engage in their lawful activities from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM daily, pending further review.
According to the Governor, the decision was reached during consultations with security agencies and key stakeholders.
The Governor emphasized that this step reflects the government’s confidence in the improved security situation and its commitment to restoring normalcy across the state.
He expressed his profound gratitude to the people of Plateau State for their unwavering patriotism, resilience, and cooperation during the period of the curfew. He urged all residents to maintain their collaboration with security agencies to ensure the continued safety and security of lives and property.
