Khalifah Isyaka Rabiu University ( KHAIRUN) has said that the unwavering support and mentorship it received from Bayero University, Kano (BUK) are among key factors for the confirmation of its operating license by the National Universities Commission (NUC).

The Vice-Chancellor of the university, Prof. Abdulrashid Garba, made the declaration when he led its management on a solidarity visit to the office of the new BUK’s Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Haruna Musa, who assumed office recently.

The team hailed Prof. Musa’s excellent academic credentials and prayed Allah to guide him to serve a successful tenure.

Responding, Prof. Musa, thanked the delegation and congratulated KHAIRUN for the confirmation of its license, which was a milestone.
He assured them of future support and cooperation from BUK.

Inaugurated barely two years ago, KHAIRUN has been building bridges with local, national and international institutions.

Last week, the university signed an academic collaboration agreement with Sabratha University Libya.

The pact is to strengthen academic cooperation in research, conferences and workshops and students exchange among other related activities.

President of Sabratha, Prof. Salim Muhammad Ali, signed for his university, while Prof. Garba signed for KHAIRUN.
